Fujifilm X-T1 – This is my go to travel camera! Its wonderfully built, delivers excellent images and the lenses are just spectacular! I could shoot all day with this camera and the best part is it’s so light my back doesn’t hurt at the end of the day! Purchase here
Fujifilm X100s – My pocket camera! I’ve tried all sorts of small pocket cameras from Sony, to Panasonic, to Nikon but I have always gone back to the X100s. It has a sharp little 23mm f2 lens and that amazing 16mp sensor fuji has become known for. You honestly cannot go wrong with this camera or any of the preceding cameras! Purchase here
Fujifilm GA645ZI – Now, this is not your usual camera, It’s a medium format film rangefinder. When it was built in the late 90’s it was considered one of the best travel medium format cameras, and its just a joy to use! If your in the market for a film medium format rangefinder, strongly consider this camera!
Nikon 85mm f1.8g – The 85mm focal length is one of the classic focal lengths that every photographer should at least try! For portrait photographers it pretty much a mandatory focal length. But it has many more uses other than portraits, medium telephoto lenses are great for some forms of food and product photographer, but also has its place in landscape photography. This specific example of the 85mm is extremely sharp, very light, and quick to focus, what more could you ask for in a lens? Purchase here
Nikon 50mm f1.8g – The nifty fifty! A lens that every photographer should own! Its cheap, sharp, fast to focus, everything a lens should be. The 50mm is a great entry into portrait photography, being significantly cheaper than the 85mm focal length, and still giving you a very nice bokeh.
